Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-11
These Terms govern your use of “Interslavic dictionary access” (at
https://interslavic.valksor.com — the web page, the JSON API, and the MCP
endpoint, together the “Service”), a free, public, read-only service
operated by
Valksor
(valksor.com). By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree,
do not use it.
1. What the Service is
The Service looks up Interslavic words in the community Interslavic dictionary (Medžuslovjansky slovnik), bundled as an offline snapshot, and returns generated inflection tables, so language tools and LLMs are grounded in real dictionary data rather than invented forms. Interslavic is a constructed pan-Slavic auxiliary language; there is no attested corpus. It is a thin access layer; the dictionary content is not ours.
2. Data and licensing (important)
The dictionary data originates from the community Interslavic dictionary (J. van Steenbergen et al.; steen.free.fr / medzuslovjansky), and the inflection tables are generated by the MIT-licensed @interslavic/utils engine. The dictionary data's reuse licence is unconfirmed: we reuse it with attribution and make no claim to a specific open licence. If you reuse or publish results, attribute the source and satisfy yourself as to the underlying terms. Using this Service grants you no rights beyond those underlying terms.
3. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and considerately. You must not:
- use it as a bulk-scraping proxy to mass-extract the dictionary data;
- circumvent or hammer the per-IP rate limits, or otherwise overload or disrupt the Service;
- attempt unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- use it for any unlawful purpose.
We rate-limit per IP and may block or restrict abusive traffic.
4. Availability & accuracy
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty and no uptime or support guarantee. The accuracy and completeness of the linguistic data are the upstream source's; we do not guarantee them. We may change, limit, or discontinue the Service at any time.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valksor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service or its data.
6. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia and the European Union.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
